| 20-Piece Handpainted Nippon Dessert Set, c. 1895. Marked Imperial Nippon. Handpainted, gorgeous pattern, gold background with pink and purple roses, green leaves and strings of small blue, pink and orange flowers with beading around center and on the rim. Set consists of a chocolate pot, cake plate, 6 dessert plates, 6 cups and saucers. One saucer is badly damaged, gold on outer rims of the plates are worn and top of the handle has very minor wear. Chocolate pot is 9 1/2 inches tall; cake plate is 10 inches; Dessert plate, 6 1/2 inches; saucer is 5 inches; cups are 2 3/4 inches. The porcelain is very fine. | ||||||||||
