American Baltimore, Maryland Pottery Jug, c. 1882-84, by Chesapeake Pottery Co. Avalon Faience line. Serpent handle. Red & green decoration with some gold highlighting. Geometric floral embossed decoration around bottom half. Very, very minor restoration to small chip on foot rim. Black underglaze mark on bottom with red decorator marks. 6 1/4 inches.
